The Creed (Fall Conference 2018)

At the 2018 Diocese of Superior Fall Conference break out section. I talk about the first pillar of the Catechism of the Catholic Church which is the creed. It is the theologically dense section that goes through in depth about the teachings touched on in the creed. I talk about how helpful asking questions are in teaching it, give a short history of the Apostles and Nicene Creed, and take on a few questions about angels and hell. 10/26/18

According to the Godless world “Might makes right”. For God something right is right because he has made it so, not because of success and might. How do we know if something is true and real. Wisdom makes the wager of suffering. Jesus was put to the test and proven worthy. Christianity is a religion not of might and power, but weakness and suffering. May we unite all our suffering, weakness, difficulty, temptations to Jesus Christ. 9/23/18
